Any Vintage Piaget Experts (mid 70’s - 90’s)?

Looking for some advice on current/near term U.S pricing/market on a vintage Piaget jewelry watch my father acquired 30-35 years ago. Was acquired as form of debt payment from one of his customers, so he doesn’t know too much about the watch. Has original box. Maybe some papers. He’s probably only worn it once or twice. Been in a safe this whole time. He is the second owner.

I stress U.S market as apparently we have 39% Tariffs on Swiss made watches now, so it helps the watch is already in the U.S.

Details I’ve recently found:


Piaget Protocole. Reference #9154
18k Yellow Gold & Factory set diamond bracelet. Pave dial.
Manual wind. Haven’t opened it up, but my research leads me to believe it is either a 9P or a 9P2 movement. I could be wrong.


I think it is circa mid-80’s - mid 90’s.

Appears to be a big and small (him and hers?) version, but I believe the bigger version is advertised as unisex.

 

I’ve checked on some ads, but prices are all over the place. Just wanted to see what was actually realistic (from some experts) and if there is a market in the U.S for the type of watch. I see foreign sellers already applying a 39% “Import duty fee” to their listings.

I forgot to mention ours is the bigger version. 8 rows of diamonds vs 6. 25x27mm face. Unisex, whereas the smaller version is definitely ladies. I see alot are also quartz. I would presume one in manual winding is more appreciated.

From the limited search I’ve done, it seems Quartz was a prevalent thing for Piaget throughout the 80’s-90’s. I believe all, if not most of period Piaget Polos are Quartz. Not sure how many Jewelry-type Protocoles were actually ordered with manual wind.
