Manurhin MR73 — EKO Cobra Service Piece Manufacturer: Manurhin (Mulhouse, France) · Model: MR73 · Caliber: .357 Magnum · Finish: Blued steel · Action: Double-action with roller-bearing sear · Barrel: 4" · Serial: K25085 · Sights: Fixed front / adjustable rear · Stock/Grips: Trausch rubber grip replaced with NOS original; original grip screw supplied. Description A rare, genuine Manurhin MR73 issued to EKO Cobra, preserved in original combat specification. This example (serial K25085, 4" barrel) retains the factory combat-tuned trigger assembly — noticeably broader and slightly longer than civilian MR73 triggers — implemented to improve control during extended heavy double-action strings and to permit reliable manipulation while wearing tactical or flight gloves. The modified trigger geometry works in concert with the MR73’s sear to produce the exceptionally smooth, controllable pull that made the MR73 the sidearm of choice for elite police and counter-terror units. Historically, EKO Cobra operatives trained alongside and exchanged tactics with France’s GIGN; Manurhin supplied both units with hand-fitted triggers and action tuning tailored to operational use. This revolver’s trigger and action characteristics are therefore consistent with special-forces specifications and provide strong physical provenance for its EKO service history. Originally released as surplus (AIM, 1998), this piece is a desirable acquisition for collectors of law-enforcement and counter-terror hardware, particularly those seeking genuine service-contract examples rather than later commercial reissues. The weapon is offered with the number matching original factory molded import box. Unfortunately, none of the accessories that the molded box was designed to hold (cleaning rod, interchangeable 9mm cylinder, etc.) were present at time of purchase and therefore are not included with this sale. The MR73 is to service revolvers what the SIG P210 was to service pistols — a precision, hand-fitted service-grade firearm built to exacting tolerances. Condition Excellent. No holster marks; finish is 100% original and bright. No import marks. Action is smooth and true; double-action pull is heavy but exceptionally smooth (combat-tuned MR73 characteristic). Bore is shiny. Trausch rubber grip has been replaced with a NOS original grip; the original grip screw will be supplied with the revolver. Provenance Notes I am the second owner, bought directly from AIM in 1998. Notes The enlarged, glove-friendly trigger is an identifying detail shared with contemporary GIGN contract pieces. Legal / Shipping Sale to qualified buyer only. Buyer responsible for compliance with local, state, and national firearms laws. No transfers or shipping to restricted jurisdictions. $5,200 shipped/insured to your FFL. $5,100 for AZ locals.
