275 GTB/4 10601 at the Zoute Grand Prix (Belgium) last weekend. What a car... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Something that has always bothered me about the 275 GTS/4 NART is the outside trunk hinges. The lines would have been more beautiful if they were inside the trunk, as on the 2 cam short-nose.
Steve McQueen's ex 275 GTB/4 10621 was also decapitated (by Straman) in the 1980s. Was reheaded by Ferrari Classiche from around 2013 (?).
10621 was Nocciola Metallizzato when delivered new but McQueen had it repainted in the maroon colour. Ferrari Classiche restored it in the colour McQueen had it repainted.

Yes, Steve McQueen also owned 275 GTS/4 NART Spyder 10453. IIRC he bought 10621 while 10453 was being repaired after being rear ended in traffic. He is also said to have offered to buy 275 GTS/4 NART Spyder 10709 from Eddie Smith after his was damaged, but Smith replied to McQueen that he liked him, but not that much to sell his NART to him, or something like that.
Ex McQueen 275 GTB/4 10621. I was amazed at the $10,175,000 price it fetched at the 2014 auction but even more so by how much it had devalued to $5,395,000 in its 2023 sale.
