Hi my aircon blower fan only works on high speed. Has anyone had this problem and what did they do to sort it out?
    Thanks in advance.

Change/repair the fan speed controller (aka electro blower regulator) ...

Not the easiest to get to and stupid prices if you can find one. Best to have it repaired.

Some folks break the mouting feet when trying to remove it.

Not sure if there is anyone in Australia who can repair it, but it's probably not too difficult to change the power transistors. The caveat is that the fan itself may be causing the transistors to blow by drawing too much current.

    Try this UK site:

    I'm assuming you're in Sydney?

Hi Dave, I replaced mine a few years back. The workshop manual basically says remove the dashboard to do it but with a bit of courage and swearing lol, it can be done leaving the dashboard in place on a RHD car

The top screw holding the regulator was really difficult to get to, I ended up removing the bottom screw and then breaking the plate holding the top screw. Someone with really small hands like your daughter in the pic can then help reassemble :)

Attached are some pics for reference. Hard bit will be finding a new part, I paid about $600 6 years ago, saw one on eBay recently for $2k

    Cheers

When the resistor fails, lower speeds stop working and only high speed works. Replacing the blower resistor usually fixes it. Check the connector for corrosion while you’re at it.

    ChatGPT?

For info: I don't think ChatGPT has got anything right regarding Ferrari maintenance. There is no "resistor".

Ian- Affirmative, in the last week it told a California driver he had an F1 system and to listen for the F1 pump when he opened the door. In another one, it told an owner his F430 had an engine with dry nikasil liners so not to worry about cavitation erosion.
