Hopefully he doesn’t do anything irreversible, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it at CEMA show all pimped up.

    P.S. Full disclosure, I didn’t & won’t look at the video.

A lot of people like Foose but I think he's a butcher. If he made cars from scratch I could appreciate his talent. But making a cartoon out of art is butchery. And I've felt this for years.

s/n 9671. He's going to fix a few things for the new owner. He doesn't specify what that means. Does he do regular maintenance and/or restoration work? He also mentions he has a 330 GTC himself.

I visited his shop. OK for hot-rods. But a Ferrari is best kept away from this kind of guy. I fear the worst for this GTC.

It’s a good thing Foose never went into painting and sculpture restoration.

For some reason if art rolls on wheels you can cut it up and destroy it and no one cares.

I've got that "horror movie" vibe, screaming to the car "DON'T GO IN THERE!!!"

That is my old GTC! What a horrible end for a great car. We sold it in 1977, and it resurfaced at the Monterey Broad Arrow auction in August. I thought about buying it back, as it appeared to have been well taken care of over the years. Now all hope for the car is probably lost.

I certainly hope you're wrong, but having seen first hand many of the superbly nice, original cars many of these "custom hero's(?)" started their creations with, I wouldn't be surprised if this too becomes difficult restore back to original configuration. :(
OTOH, having myself been associated/involved with several "custom creations"(?) I can also understand starting with a complete & solid car is always easier/preferable, just like any restoration, but I've also wondered why can't they sacrifice rough & rusty examples, especially since most will end up as "display only" sculptures anyway and never see any real driving/use.

I just realized (again) and often point out, this ^^ sadly can be said of vast majority of antique/classic/exotic/etc cars, regardless of make, model or vintage, so in that vain, it really doesn’t matter how they are customized, repaired or restored.

My eternal hope is all cool/interesting/worthy (= not in financial sense) cars would end up in the hands/ownership of real/true car guys who will treat them as cars, regardless how the they are rebuilt/restored or their perceived "market/investment/speculation value".
