    Hi all.

I just replaced my driver's side door mechanism in my 2003 360 for the jammed cable issue. I used a new mechanism from Eurospares and the installation went fine. The mechanism seems to be working, however it won't stay locked. When I hit the lock button with the key fob I can hear it lock and then immediately unlock. I've checked all the electrical connections, everything seems to be plugged in. I even disconnected the mechanical connection to the interior lock lever as well as exterior lock cylinder. Even with everything disconnected, the key fob remote just triggers it to lock and then immediately unlock.

Any ideas what would cause this?

With the door latched closed, does the door open indication extinguish? (key on of course)

Assuming similar to a 430. Have the door open and see what the lock does,

I had this same issue on my car after replacing the mechanism. It’s been a few years but I remember adjusting it with the threaded stick that goes into the lock switch in the armrest. If you back that off or tighten it, that fixes it iirc. Some trial and error needed.

@vrsurgeon & @priericky128 Note that the original poster said he isolated the mechanical linkages, so I'm guessing adjustments are not the issue.

That has happened to me in my f430 a couple of times. It has been a misaligned microswitch both times. The microswitch is never pushed back to the closed position giving the car the belief that a door may be open or being attempted to be opened.
