I had a purple Diablo se30 and God that car was amazing. Plus I could sit in the car parked for hours just enjoying that it was mine God I loved every detail about that car.

I have to admit, I have often wondered whether a 6.0 may have left me with a different impression. They do look fantastic.

I dont want to derail this thread, as its had such a useful dialog.

I know there are off topic threads elsewhere on Fchat, but perhaps a dedicated off subject or other makes thread within the 456/550/575 forum would be okay too, as we all have that common bond and are somewhat familiar with each other's names, writings and past.

We are Curated was a really neat place
It was packed in with some very impressive cars. Didn't get to talk with anyone there. We could hear them upstairs in a meeting, but also no one minded us hanging out looking either..

Sweet mother of V12s…to me, the Diablo 6.0 is the definitive 90s supercar. I know the F50 and F1 are considered the top dogs but truly these face lifted Diablos are all I could ever want. I’ve never had a chance to even sit in one however so I have no idea if they are as incredible to drive as they are to look at. Regardless - you are one lucky man!

Well if you’re ever in the Midwest just drop me a line (assuming it’s done/ready of course); my 575 has a full exhaust + OEM upgrade brake/suspension like (if I remember right) you were exploring for your car

I would incessantly recite “Raising Arizona” lines and likely end up driving my wife legally insane.

I have said it many times.....there are NO DEALS on BaT.....too many eyeballs......HOWEVER....... @ketel well done! Hope you start a dedicated thread for this car.

I would also say that MANY times @otoupalik has said....ending an online auction on a weekend is a bad idea and it is amazing the seller let this one go today.

Congrats @ketel, you have been looking for awhile and we will be excited to see what you think when you pick it up......heck if you have your heart set on a manual you could just leave it in SoCal with @Joel Delman mechanic and have him do the conversion.

10/19/25 a 2003 575 F1 SOLD at $90,000 with 19,026 miles -- out of Norco, CA with an Arizona title (hope it passes smog...did last Jan 2025...should this time)
    +) ZFFBV55A530133710 and Assembly 50924
+) Argento Nurburgring over "Beige tradizione" with contrasting daytona style seats (I liked the look of those) and a leather rear shelf.
+) MODULARS! with tires date coded 2022 and red calipers
+) shields, aftermarket head unit with apple carplay & polk audio speakers (factory stereo included)
+) about a year out from needing a belt service
+) Auction notes: March 2011 entry on the Carfax report lists an accident involving a parked motor vehicle that resulted in damage to the rear.
+) The rear quarter window trims are said to be aged, and paint touch-ups have been applied over chips.
+) battery, fan regulator, and thermostat were replaced in 2024.
+) three fobs, including the red master
+) invoices from 2021 from bay area Patrick Otis and Roselli
    +) 133710

What is NOT to like on this "driver"....the reported accident was way back in 2011....this was a good buy.

That was a DEAL. Had it marked to follow - I usually just set it to see final cost on various cars to follow my interest in the specific markets - but that would have been a car to bid on. I thought the days of sub $100k 575M were done.

Was an incredible deal... Market is very soft on these cars (and many others) right now. Wish I had more space in the garage and a more forgiving wife, great time to be a buyer.

    Thanks, Ferrari55whoa...

Yes, I've had a 575 in my sights for a looong time but they've eluded me....until today. Gated would be the unicorn spec, but can't justify the premium for a factory OEM gated 575, and the conversions are getting really good now if the mood strikes me.

After I get some of the niggling things addressed on the vehicle and get it brought up on services, etc, I want to enjoy it with the F1 for a while. I might change my mind about the automated manual systems, but even if I don't and I end up springing for a manual conversion anyway, at least I'll have had the experience with the F1 and have a good basis for comparison.

Thanks for all the support. Looking forward to lurking on this forum going forward in addition to my participation with the 360/430 forum since I have an '03 360Spider 6-speed too.

Now with the 575 on its way, the stable is coming together!

Welcome to the party! The 575 tends to a rather robust car for the most part. The main things being the lower bearing and F1 pump relay beyond the usual belts/major.
