Wow that is a crazy price. Here I thought the 512TR filters were crazy priced but that is insane.

I am now very confused with this thread..
the UFI filter I have on my 512TR is UFI 2331000..
above we are quoting UFI 2328900, which looks thinner in body dimensions.

are we saying they are interchangeable?

Maybe quasi-interchangeable. Agree with you that that eurospares UFI 2328900 (my notes have that as a Lambo Murcielago/Diablo/Aventador oil filter) seems to have a smaller overall body diameter (and like the Bosch CIS fuel pumps, it seems to be a substitution that eurospares decided to make, not necessarily Ferrari). There are a lot of oil filters with a 1-12 mounting thread and a G401 gasket that fit things like Jaguars and Lambos. The Baldwin B255 would be in the same class of alternatives having a smaller overall body, but would still fit on a TR or 512TR. I'd still pick the Baldwin B7424 as my 1st choice (since it's more similar dimensionally to the stock UFI TR and 512TR oil filters -- and it's not a crazy price ;)). Your UFI 2331000 is the original "stock" 512TR oil filter, but it has been superceded to UFI 2331002 per MCP:

thanks steve for the above.. can you confirm that the superseded UFI 2331002, has the same dimensions to the original 2331000?

also, from the pictures of the B7424, it doesnt look dimensionally the same as the original 2331000. can you confirm as I have never seen one in real like :)

yes I was worried that the smaller body dimensions would have an effect on flow, but I dont think so, as long as the inlet and outlet holes are the same as the original filters

I don't have a UFI 2331002 in my hand, but I'd be shocked if it isn't just the same as UFI 2331000 based on the MCP photos, and UFI has a history of "rolling up" the last two digits of their part number when making small compatible changes. I'd also call for anyone who pays $440 USD for an oil filter to have their head examined ;). I'd use that UFI Lambo oil filter before paying $440 for an oil filter.

    I have the stock UFI 2331000 as 108mm diameter x 112mm long, and the Baldwin B7424 as 112.7mm diameter x 112.7 long.

How long do we go between oil changes? Do you think a filter is going to plug up in short time? Question is: flow rate, and microns.

From a supplier today: UFI may no longer be making the TR filters.
