    Hi all,

Antigravity Batteries is looking for some folks with Pistas, Tributos or Competiziones (the Ferraris that came equipped with the Ferrari Lithium Batteries) that would be willing to assist us in getting some information so we can atttempt to develop a kit that will allow the use of an AGM or an aftermarket Lithium Battery to work in these Cars. The benefits of doing this are you would not be tied to Ferrari's proprietary $3-4k battery, and would be able to use a simple AGM Battery or Lithium Battery in the future.

For our first stage we would be looking for some person who would be willing to dive in and get us well lighted and very clear and detailed images of the connections to the Positive and Negative Terminals, close up and a little further out so we can get a very good representation of the connections. We can compensate you for your time with some of our products for that help.

After getting some initail photos we would like to see if there are any in the Los Angeles or Ventura area who would like to assist us with actually physically looking into the battery area of the Car ourselves so we can get a firmer understanding of the actual Cars connections and layout to those connections. The last step is we would look to replace the Battery once we get a full understanding of what is required. Again we would compensate the participant with our Battery and IF any programing is necessary would pay for that.

So let us know if you would like to assist us in trying to accomplish this...

Because there are already a few previous posts on the subject of F-Chat we don't really need to discuss that side any futher being we fully understand what is going on. At this point we just want to start to take some action to resolve it so are asking to see who would like to assist. Thank you.

Yep we are hoping to find a solution, but need to get some involved.

This week, we'll try to reach out to some Independants in the LA Area and hopfully some will assist. I have a 296, but I bought it in St. Louis , and they were cool, so I'll ask if perhaps they can send me any images... maybe my sales person will assist me in shooting some images of the Batteries connections.

Wait, sorry, but are you saying you cannot today replace the OEM battery with a generic AGM battery in an F8?

You can absolutely replace your OEM Ferrari AGM Battery with any generic or other brand of AGM Battery. But IF you have a Ferrari (F8 or other) that comes with the Factory Ferrari Lithium Battery.... then you cannot simply replace it with an AGM Battery, you are forced to use the Ferrari proprietary Lithium Battery. But we are trying to develop a kit so that you COULD actually replace your Factory Lithium Battery with an AGM or aftermarket Antigravity Lithium Battery. We are doing this because the Factory Ferrari Lithium Batteries are about $3-4k just the battery which is quite ridiculous.

For the F8, they generally should have the AGM Battery unless the original buyer choose the Lithium Option which is rarer. The Pistas DID come with Lithium as does the Competiziones.... and some others and in some cases persons opted for the Lithium in their build... but generally its all AGMs.

I see, thank you. I wasn't reading your post close enough and got worried since I just bought a generic AGM to replace my OEM after 4+ years.

You sure the Pista Lithium proprietary battery sells for 3-4? I paid 7,300k in 2021 at the Ferrari dealer. Mine died after one year.

Well, no I'm not sure that they are 3-4k, but someone who replaced one told me about 2 years ago at a trade show they paid close to $4k. But your story is exactly why we are seeking to remedy this issue, because its a bit over the top, and we simply make a Lithium battery than the A123 Battery, and ours has built-in WIRELESS Jump Starter so you will never be stranded and costs about $1200 dollars. But to put it simply, Porsche and McLaren use the exact same A123 Systems Battery as Ferrari, but A123 made proprietary communication so you can't just put the Porsche version in your Ferrari and Pay about $2k...., but it is the same exact battery as used in both the Porsches and the McLarens. They sell from roughly 2k to 4k depending on the dealer who chooses to be cool or not. Your $7k was quite a bit more, but being blunt during Covid stuff was crazy hard to get so perhaps they charged you a bit more. Lastly, you can get Ferrari to convert your car to AGM... which would then mean you could use AGM or aftermarket Lithium like Antigravity. We hear they charge about $7k to install that but we think theres a significantly cheaper work around, but there are other threads on that.

We just need some people to assist us in gaining a little info.... but I assume not alot of the Pista owners want to mess around with their Cars, or this, and that understandable to a degree. Or may many just aren't on F-Chat... so we'll keep posting every so often and try to find some independants in the LA Area.
