I have Capristo on my 5.2 and 2.7
main difference is when valve is closed the 2.7 has a deep sound.

I assume you’ll be putting the Ito on your 5.2?

I don’t see an alarm light on the center dash vent, so this is likely a 2.7 car.

Yes, my 5.2 is a spider... Currently it's a bit too loud driving around town.

I’m not sure if Ito is expected to be a quieter setup than Capristo, but looking forward to your comparison.

I'll give it a try. If it's not right for me I'll just resell it.
Will also do an external mic recording for you all.

The ITO exhaust is I would say, the same loudness as a Tubi but its a more rich and fuller sound. The Capristo will certainly be louder.

Judging by the tips, it isn’t an Ito. I think he says Kriessieg at 4:25.

    Correct Ken..

    Confirmed by Mr Catspeed himself..

And whats more this is what he said...

Regarding the comparison between the M2.7 and M5.2, the actual sound impression is completely opposite.

The 1998-1999 XR M5.2 vehicle has the highest-pitched, best-sounding sound.

Our demo car was a 1995 PR M2.7, so we often compared them.

Below is the sound of an F355 equipped with our Ito Racing muffler.

I believe it was a 1998 XR M5.2vehicle. Please confirm.

So correct me if I am wrong..

But in this video both cars have an ITO exhaust..

First Car XR 2.7.. second car PR 5.2

This is what the video comment translates to..

F1 Sound Ferrari F355 Berlineta Ito Racing Maffler equipment PR (middle term) and XR (late term), appearance is cute but a naughty Abert 695 TributFerrari. ! And the drone film is also launched on the air! Enjoy the movie scene and sound! !

    Big difference..

These vids are very old. Possibly pre Arai Bankin. The new version is also referred to as the “light” version from reduced weight.

Yeah.. That's what i thought too Ken. But that's all Mr Catspeed supplied.

Still I'm quite surprised by Akihiro's statement - "The 1998-1999 XR M5.2 vehicle has the highest-pitched, best-sounding sound".

To be honest, The acoustic holy grail for me is that 1990's F1 Howl, and from the sound clips above I really do prefer the ITO over the Capristo.

It appears to be quieter when the valve is closed, and louder when it is opened, plus the pitch is higher

Its a win win situation.. Just my 2c worth..

Capristo works well with a 5.2 imo. A fuller and more adequate sound spectrum. Ito should be good as well. Can’t go wrong with either.

I'll throw this in there, my 2.7, stock headers, capristo 3, 200 cell primary cats, kriesseig swirl y-pipe on tail of the dragon.

    https://photos.app.goo.gl/oRcBF6m5Qcg4j7cs7

It has the highest pitch scream I've heard so far and the volume contrast from closed to open is massive. Near the end I touch the rev limiter in 2nd, the glasses didn't pick up the sound that well but it sounds unreal over 8krpm.

Capristo pitch is nice no doubt, but that I can’t get over that Jekyll & Hyde personality on a 2.7 your vid clearly demonstrates (the contrast from closed to open). Just as when you’re about the get some F1 sound, it cuts off while you let off. The progression doesn’t seem right. The 5.2 seems to do a better job although pitch is less.
