relax mate. triggered at such a simple statement? FWIW, Ferrari are where they are due to their own foolishness.

Actually the real question should be - why would they even want to in the first place and torpedo their careers?

Absolutely true. Hopefully someday they can figure it all out and get back to being awesome.

I was not upset, just thinking that Alonso is not the one likely to grab another championship; mentioning Lance was just a way to stress my view that no matter how Newey could be a genius, Alonso will not be world champion (and neither will Lance).
Russell, Piastri, Verstappen, Norris are far more likely than Alonso to win in 2026 than Alonso (or Lance...)

Really, it depends on the car that Newey puts together. If he puts something together like his 2023 car, Alonso has the best shot he has ever had since his last championship, and I would argue it's a realistic possibility.

That's not what i meant, of course they're much better on their current teams, it was just a joke with the question being asked initialy.

In F1, i learn to take nothing for granted (Kimi 2007, Brawn 2009). Having said that, if Newey does pen a championship winning car, i'll never count the old fox out.
