    Hi, guys.

After reading about user EastMemphis's hardtop, I was interested.

I have been working on making a removable targa top for my 360 Spider after a few repair visits to fix the hydraulic cylinders in the cloth top.

There are 2 targa top pieces in the middle which can be stored in the trunk. The rear piece is fixed into the capote(no drilling) and does not fit in the trunk.

I scanned the car and 3D printed the top. I'm attaching renderings of what it's going to look like. (My car is black. And, yes, those are 488 GTB wheels :))

I have already contracted a manufacturer to produce 100 units. They have the original 3D print and are making molds. The material will be fiberglass. There are a few rubber seals and a bit of silicone to keep everything as water resistant as possible. The top clips into the locks at the top of the windshield and has rubber mounts that wedge into the rear capote. The glass is lexan. It looks awesome, in my opinion.

PM me if you need more info.

Excellent! I had hoped someone would beat me to it so I can put that project into the grave.

I'm curious as to how you handled the variation in window height that the Spider has. On my car, the difference between the left and right side was more than 3cm. I've found a similar discrepancy on other cars but it isn't constant. It seems to be a function of a handmade car more than a manufacturing defect.

My car has a difference of an inch, and the workaround seems to be thicker weatherstrips. So, if someone has the issue, they can just swap out the seal.

The fastest I've been was 150mph. No issues.

Now I wish I bought a spider…. This would have changed my decision on getting a coupe for sure!

**** off, brand new user hasn't contributed anything to our community and not a single post except trying to promote your 100 tops to sell.

Guessing this will work on the 430 as well since these areas are similar?

resurrect it, you are a longtime good user with other content that deserves plenty of leeway.

Was thinking this as well. I certainly wouldn’t put any money down but interested in seeing actual progress and other reviews. Especially of the interior and mechanism as all these photos can be manufactured easily in photoshop.

even if it was "help" to the community and he stuck around for years to come and thousands of good other posts like EastMemphis, then there is still the high risk this is a scam. I assume it isn't though, but certainly being a new user makes it a bigger risk.

The location appears to be the Beverly Hills Car Club. It's odd that there are two black 360s at the same photo location, but I don't think they're the same. One has red calipers the other yellow, spider vs coupe, etc. Meanwhile, the OPs geo-location is on the other side of the country from the BH Car Club. So there's still something odd going on.

As Rob says, the OP has violated the advertising and selling rules of the site. We accommodate DIY projects as contributed content and allow sales in the classified ad section afterward, but only if a known good user and the user shows their work in progress so that the community as a whole learns from the project and could duplicate it with similar skills and effort. Going direct to selling as a new user in the discussion forums is a non-starter.

    Permanent ban. Thread closed.
