Ferrari Classiche simply certified the car with covered headlights. They would not have it certified if it had been converted from open to covered headlights (only if done by Ferrari itself in period but such is not recorded). In the past a period picture showing a dark painted Cal Spyder with open headlights was misinterpreted as 1915GT by a certain Ferrari historian. In fact, this picture shows 1883GT instead.
