Shouldn't this be posted in "Classifieds" or "Vintage Market" ?

No, as it is a sponsored classified listing. Sponsored posts are able to go anywhere. However, there might be an argument that Vintage Market would receive more views, but I believe it gets more attention here.

Well, this being your forum, I guess you can post it anywhere you want. ;)

I'm just concerned that soon all sponsors start placing links to their ads everywhere.

I've never seen it too much for listings. If you haven't noticed in the more modern model specific forums, the aftermarket parts sponsors usually post or top threads weekly. Stop being a narrow minded isolationist in Vintage. ;)

Let's hope it stays that way, but some sponsors might follow suit after seeing Mr. Lay saying it's OK to post listing links anywhere and perhaps soon all forum sections get littered them.
OTOH, I imagine that's great for click traffic. :)

Sorry, but I don't follow or pay much attention to other, let alone more modern forums.

    See above.
    I enjoy being me. ;)

You don't have much to worry about in Vintage, we get a listing for a Vintage about once every 3 months. No current sponsors deal alot with Vintage.
