@ChrisQP_M139 Thank you for your generosity in paying it forward to The Children’s Cancer Research Fund God bless Dominick
Just a note -- I have recently implemented a true "pay it forward" model when I help people on this forum or others that heard of me ( mechanics, youtubers, DIY's etc) I work on a “pay it forward” arrangement when helping owners avoid unnecessary parts, labor, and downtime. I've had great success in saving people a considerable amount of money though my work and simply ask you pass it forward and help others who are less fortunate or having hardship. I feel strongly around charity and the impact it can have. If you feel at the end of helping you thru all the work to a successful completion and the way I handled your case was valuable, a donation to the charity will be requested. I believe it’s a fair way to value the time and expertise I provided For the price of a nice meal for the family or a case of wine, you're back on the road, plus you've helped someone in this world who needs it. I do not take a cut of the donation and all proceeds go to the good cause. I have implemented this new structure a few months ago and already we have collected and donated a few thousand dollars Thanks to all Dominick Disclaimer: The content provided by Flash32 is for general informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute professional or certified automotive advice. Dominick, I like the Pay It Forward model you've created. I was a bit cautious (wrongly!) walking into our phone discussions, thinking how is this virtual assistance going to help me. Within minutes I was taken back, not only with your knowledge, but your patience to walk me through the testing, diagnosis and fixes. You literally SAVED ME A FORTUNE! Switching over existing parts to diagnose the issue, instead of needing to go out and just buy new parts, spending time to truly get to the route cause, providing recommendations on which parts to buy and from where, increasing my knowledge of the car and so much more. So often mechanics are quick to either sell you whole assemblies ($$$$) or charge for hours upon hours of work. ........ not to mention the feel good factor of passing it on. Thanks again for the support to get my 360 back on the road.
I just spent the past week and a half working with Dominick. I have to say that he made a Ferrari mechanic out of me- or at least I feel like one now! He spent countless hours with me on the phone, sent tons of pics and texts- navigating me through the entire process of testing and eliminating all other issues to ensure we came to the correct conclusion. It was the potentiometer. He made recommendations for reasonably priced tools that I would need and even looked up parts at my local auto parts store to make sure I had everything I needed. Dominick stayed on the phone with me until 2:00am one evening when we were very close to “the end” making sure I had everything ready before re-attached the actuator and applied sealant to give it ample time to dry before continuing our journey. I’ve worked on cars before- brake jobs, oil changes, pulled a transmission and replace a clutch and throw-out bearing when I was 17, but I haven’t worked on a car myself in 35 years. I no longer am afraid of my car- thanks to his coaching and encouragement and walking me through- step-by-step. He never left my side- even when I was frustrated at 2:00 in the morning and I couldn’t figure out how to get my torque wrench to work properly. He is a wizard and an invaluable asset to our community. Thanks to everyone when my beloved F430 was down and our and undriveable. It was a great experience and I can’t believe the amount of time her spends helping. I love his pay-it-forward format. Hope to do more projects with him in the future!
Ralph It was a pleasure helping you and that write up is just the cherry on top. Thank you for taking the time to report back here and, of course, for the accolades. It is wonderful that I inspired you and that the car is back on the road being better than ever. Your generosity is truly appreciate and know that the kids at St Jude will appreciate it greatly as well Please never hesitate to reach out PS I will miss our nightly chats as well but I will touch base here and there for sure .hope you do the same Dominick

Don is the man! Once again proving himself an invaluable asset to the community. Looking forward to finding the free time one of these weekends to go over my F1 metrics since the last round of repairs we made
