So spoiler (and lots of other parts!) alert, I’m about to replace a whole heap of the matte black plastic parts on my F8 Spider with Novitec carbon parts.
Basically every single exterior piece that could be ordered from the factory in carbon, including the splitter, bumper insert, sideskirts and diffuser.
Novitec carbon is as good quality as OEM and I’ve chosen the versions that are identical to the factory options.
So the question is, do I retain the original plastic pieces for refitting for any future sale, bearing in mind reinstalling them would cost several thousand pounds?
Or just assume any future buyer would appreciate the expensive replacements and would be very happy to buy the car with them on?
The other very significant consideration is I absolutely do not have the storage space to keep the very large original parts, which I guess almost answers the question itself!

If the weave, color and finish pattern are exactly the same as OEM as you've implied, I don't see a problem selling the OEM parts off. However, I'm not familiar with the UK market.

I'd keep all original parts, cleaned, preserved wrapped and in a box on a shelf. Your cars plate doesn't show these carbon parts so someone buying your car will appreciate these original parts and this will help resell. Plus if a carbon part breaks you can put on the original part and keep driving even though these are mostly aesthetic.

Yeah I know you're right. Just gotta find somewhere to store them all, they are massive and all my garage space is already full of crap, mainly OEM parts from cars that I've modified... :D

I've done the same. Had a 488 changed the engine bay covers to carbon fiber. Now I have the matte black left over pieces. Have no clue what I'll do with them. Don't have the 488 any longer.

I always keep the originals. I have all my engine bay and s-duct in a closet in a spare room....... always a good idea to keep them.
