I already did the Ryft Titanium X-pipe with no valves to make my 488 Spider sound better. I am contemplating the next step to achieve a better sonic solution. I don't want to go catless so am wondering what results people have had with a 100 or 200 cell downpipes and a tune. The tune is just to deal with the downpipes - I don't need it dialed up to 11. The goal is for the 488 to retain its reliability, and just sound a bit louder/better. Don't want to nuke the engine or set the car on fire. Is this possible?

    TIA

    Pic for attention.

Just curious, can you pass California's smog test with these modifications?

Catless all the way. 100cell cats are a joke.
I have SRM Autosport ones on my F8

You'll need to do or should do at least something like Pure Turbo's 800 package for $5k plus core. I would look at exhausts of inconel or just stainless. Titanium was originally designed for aerospace and structural purposes, not for the extreme, repeated thermal cycling of an exhaust system. Titanium becomes brittle with heat especially very thin wall exhaust pipes. Titanium is extremely ridged and you need some play in the exhaust system for heat and cooling expansion. To save weight and achieve a high-pitched sound, titanium exhausts often have thinner walls, making them more susceptible to heat-related stress. You can get a much better sound still with a more reliable stainless piped exhaust for example. I'll take reliability everyday!

I have a Spider and I have heard that the smell invades the cabin without cats.

I'm not keen on replacing all that just for some better sound. Would like the car to be returned to stock if/when I might sell it. But ideally the Pure setup would be a ton of fun. Thanks

I have 250 Sport cats on my 812 GTS and they made a world of difference. Not obnoxiously loud but a major change for the better.

Curious if sport cats make a significant difference in sound on a 488 or Pista since they are pre GPF cars. Is it worth it? I already have a novitec exhaust and I’m debating putting it on with the addition of 100 or 200 cats.

Could do the Novitec Tectronic to device to cancel out the check engine light. https://www.novitecgroup.com/en/brands/ferrari/488/488-gtb/

A similar device called the "OBD killer" suposedly also works and is probably less expensive.

As mdrums stated above, stainless won't crack over time and is probably the better option for the downpipes.

Check out Redstar Exhaust, they make 488 dps. I've heard good things about their quality and price. There's plenty others out there who make them as well. Novitec for example etc etc

As far as power from a tune and downpipes on 93 octane on stock turbos, 488s pick up a ton of power. +140 rwhp +100 rwtq is in the ballpark (For reference I attached a dp tune 93 488 dyno sheet - 717 rwhp 571 rwtq on a dynojet with sae correction factor)

Because the stock turbos have some mechanical failures that are common even on unmodified cars, pure turbos are an option that people often do rather than replacing the stock ones with another pair of stock ones when they fail so they don't have the same issues with new stock ones that may fail again. Plus when tuned they do pick up and additional 50 rwhp and an additional 100 rwtq over what the stock turbos do. A Pure 800 turbo car made 750rwhp 684rwtq on that same dyno for reference.

Also attatched some audio clips for refrence of exhaust dp tune 488s on 93
