How many cars do you have in your collection and do you plan to keep them as your legacy ? Or is your collection transient with an expiration date?

I personally have 14 cars in my collection and intend to keep them as my collection of art.
I collect guns and watches too.

Well, it’s not as grand as it sounds. I’ve been collecting for over 20 years and built/ restored many of the cars. I’ve bought pretty much all of them before the “price spikes” and in general bought well. I’ve worked my ass off and each car was bought during certain achievements or milestones. Each one has a great story and marks special times and efforts of my life, how I got them, the condition I was in when I bought them, the specifics of the achievements, who had owned them before etc..etc..etc.. My collection (for me) is pretty much complete and will be left to my kids to do as they wish with them.
My tastes are pretty wide ranging but I don’t have anything weird. It’s a collection Bourne of a real passion for cool, performance orientated cars that are beautiful and a refusal to sell any.

I really enjoy wrenching on them and care taking them and I look forward to having more time with them as I enter full time retirement in a few short months

I look forward to hearing your stories.

Just 2 other than my Wrangler 392 daily, 1999 Lamborghini Diablo Roadster (1 of just 142 worldwide for this 1 year only re-design), and a well driven 2005 Ford GT. The only thing I have in common with Julius is I bought them before the significant price spikes. I couldn't afford either of them if I was to buy today.

Ownership future? My knees aren't getting any better with these low to the ground cars so will have to shift them in the near future.

Starting to get into watches more, after buying a Datejust in 2006 and not buying another watch until last year ($250 Seiko). Have bought 2 this year ($300 Seiko and a $5k Grand Seiko and want to by more in the future. Don't have the funds to go crazy though.....want a couple of precious metal watches, and some cheap gimmick watches like a Planet Ocean and a skeleton.
