Hi , had a 2 gen mount fail in 2 years all done under warranty well one anyway as Iam looking at aftermarket ver here https://ebay.us/m/LZ2tni Anyone fitted these says 2 year warranty ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
What do you have to lose since the originals failed in under 2 years anyway? Would it still be under warranty if an original replacement set set failed again at 2 years? If not, Id use the ones you are displaying. If they by chance are actually Hill Engineering parts then no question which ones to use.
I bought the car not knowing the engine mounts were done recently, when I put in to be serviced new garage they noted them , I rang the previous garage ( Ferrari ) was within 1 years ( they agreed and replaced free) this year same thing frame 11 months starting to fail , but your say they should be covered for 2 years? And who’s hill’s engineers? They good or bad ?
Just replaced mine with aftermarket parts from AW Italian Parts. I bet they are just generic aftermarket ones. Seem to do the job and can't be any worse quality than OEM.
Hill engineering produces some very high quality parts for our cars, they are almost always better than OEM parts. Alden
The mounts fit but I don't think they are OEM, even though the picture and part number are OEM. I didn't take a picture of the mounts, but they did NOT have Ferrari logos like the ones on their website picture. They fit, and they can't be any worse than OEM. With AW you're never sure. I returned my entire last order because they were generic aftermarket parts, even though part numbers were Ferrari numbers. They just slapped their own label with a Ferrari part number on top of them and sell at 8x markup. Like this:
ok great news , how long have you had them on for now ??? id just like tem to last more than 12 months ?? these ones you ordered or the ones like ive shown above ... sorry just want to make sure going forward... thanks for your guidence https://awitalian.com/product/engine-mount-269817/
i emailed them and they dont make HILLS ,,, ive ordered ones above and see what my mechanic makes of them ... fingers crossed
Had them on for about 2000 miles and 3 months. So far no complaints. Next time I would buy elsewhere though, I don't like the practice of showing OEM pictures and part numbers yet sending aftermarket parts. That's pretty deceptive if you ask me. You can find same mounts a lot cheaper from other sources.
Ok I see yes agree . Their price seems to be much higher than an other aftermarket and to my gathered information they all don’t have oil in them and seem to have the same markings on them … note the Ferrari horse looks like he’s had a stroke !!!! Here your one and pics of mine . But maybe the gen with oil in them is the issue … only time will tell plz keep us posted on your thoughts
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water... here's what the originals look like. And a surprise! These, fresh from the Ferrari Genuine packaging are labeled as Maserati units. . Those dirty dogs. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
When it comes to Ferrari parts, I'm telling you after 20+ years doing this, the only safe bet is : TRUST, BUT VERIFY
I understand that maybe at some time Maserati was to be the Cali … but this is up for debate .. so they share some parts with other models … 2x Engine Mounts Fit Ferrari California Maserati GranTurismo Quattroporte 226572 You read the thread so you know where we going with this
Here mine out showing the gen after 1 year and 3000 miles the shorter one … gen on right And the aftermarket on left .. Image Unavailable, Please Login
