If you go to the NHTSA website recall check and enter the VIN for a 360 or F430 it returns the model and will say "F1" as part of the model name for any supplied with F1. If it doesn't say F1 it means it was supplied as a gated manual.

Of course, it is also on the warranty if you already own the car or have sight of the warranty booklet.

This is excellent! I tried it with my gated 360 and it shows no F1, then I randomly looked up a for sale 360 with an F1 from Carguru's and it showed the F1 on the description. If this website is reliable, then it's the perfect way to check any car before you go see it. Thanks @jtremlett

I just tried this, worked for me also. Great tip, I’m sure it will help lots of people f430 shopping, since u have to already prove ownership to get the repro sticker from dealerships

Just wanted to update this thread that the nhtsa.gov recalls method is not 100% accurate in calling out an F1 vs Factory 6 on the 360. Its hit or miss as I have tested several F1 vins that came up simply as Modena 360 without the F1 designation.
