Quick question - I have just bought a NOS Veglia clock to replace the one in my 512 BB which I can no longer adjust although it still works.

I have just received the new replacement and blow me having just taken it out of the box that doesn't seem to want to adjust either. Before I send it back can someone please confirm to me that it doesn't need current to adjust.

I have to say the quality of these things seems pretty miserable.

    Many thanks!

AFAIK you can adjust at will.

Those clocks are repairable. The gear for setting breaks from time (not miles). Might be broken in the box.

    Thanks F1 gents.
Pic of clock front and back attached as requested by F1 Veteran.
Thanks F1 Rookie - sounds like that is what has happened. I have sent it back for a replacement. Partsco has more in stock apparently. Hopefully not all duff.
I actually have a BB but the 412 clock seemed a pretty close replacement - better than it always being 10 to 4.

so when you turn the black knob at the front the clock hands are not moving?
this knob has nothing to do if there is power on or not. it is mechanical as I remember - but not sure 100 %

I just checked the clock in my BB.
It is not dependent on power to be adjusted.
The knob needs to be pushed in to adjust time.
Mine required a rather hard push.

I just had our clock out for repair. After 45 Years, the small plastig gear for adjusting time broke and needed replacement.
