How does the altitude impact lap times of the current and 2024 cars, compared with the non-hybrid turbos and non-turbos of earlier years? Will this cause more drain and work from the batteries and electric half of the power units, will is cause less cooling of the brakes, and will they need for aera with greater downforce that will cause even more work demand from the engines?
So Mexico City is 7.3k ft above sea level which means less dense air thereby: 1) Teams need to increase downforce levels 2) Turbos work harder due to the less dense air. 3) Brakes need more cooling as well.
Will be interesting to see how each team is effected. Engine (power unit) failures, brakes overheating, going for low downforce settings to make use of the straights and DRS, lower track temps needing softer tire compounds, set ups for quaifying vs race pace. Last year Sainz won in a Ferrari.
So is Ferrari going to survive this? I think Charles car has a engine with a TON of laps on it. Seems like a big fat DNF in the offering.

What a load of BS....These idiots should lose the title like in 97 against Kimi, If they had half a brain Oscar would be so far ahead that Max wouldn't be a treath, but this idiocy of trying to make an unworthy driver world champion might bite themj in the ass....and it's a fat ass right ZAck?
I wouldn't count on it. Leclerc and Fuoco were teammates back in 2017. He's obviously a talented driver winning Le Mans, but he was utterly dominated by Leclerc in F2. Leclerc won seven races to Fuoco's one.
