Hi these appear to be NLA, any idea on how to refurbish or repair them? Mine is a little bent, has the pin missing, etc. and not latching on one side.

    Thank you!

Since I resigned to the fact these are NLA, I had to make do with what I had...good news the fix wasn't that bad. Key being getting everything flat and finding a 3/16" pin to put back in place--ends up a brass pin that you can hammer on the ends so you get it to mushroom out so it doesn't come apart is great. Here are some pics...

Good job, those are still available if one was stuck. The early 365 flat ones without the curved ribs are a different story.

Here's a million dollar question, what happens on the BB if the cable breaks or the latch(es) get stuck with the hood in the closed position?

There doesn't look to be any backup way of opening the hood for latch repair?

Same here but what if a latch rusts/freezes shut/etc...there can be a few ways it would get stuck, no?

before such a part will rust and not work any more you will see/feel that there is something not ok - if you have a little technical understanding

If you had terrible luck, you would need to cut a hole in the front inner fender to access the latch. On the rear, the gas tank access panels give you latch access.

You will have (should have) a pull cable with a loop in the glove box and one behind the small storage pocket.
