The only other carbon fiber option I ordered on my Roma Spider besides the steering wheel and paddles are the sill plates that state I spec'd my car with Ferrari Atelier in Maranello. If I had to do it all over again I would rather have the carbon fiber steering wheel with shift lights and carbon fiber shift paddles wrapped in leather.

I stopped in at GlasWerks ahead of the Ferrari Club of America’s rally and Mexico GP watch party this Sunday to have STEK DYNOtop windshield protection film installed on my Roma Spider.

I had a stone hit the windshield during the last Ferrari Club of America rally to Middleburg. Luckily there was no damage but I figured I should protect the windshield to prevent damage from happening. I should’ve done this the same time I got the car fully covered in PPF, but better late than never and better safe than sorry!

At the height of the COVID-19 lockdowns here in Virginia, travel was restricted to "essential" trips to the grocery store or hospital, businesses were closed, and public gatherings including cars and coffee were prohibited. Once the lockdowns started to ease, Katie's Coffee House, which hosted the local cars and coffee, re-opened in a limited capacity implementing some social-distancing protocols. They set up a tent on the sidewalk outside the coffee shop and you could drive up, order your drink and pay, and they would bring you your drink when it's ready without leaving your car. Instead of parking in the parking lot to drink my coffee, I would drive down the street to Colvin Mill Run Park and sit on one of the picnic tables and enjoy my coffee outside. It was a nice break from being cooped up in the house.

The other day my friend asked if he could take some quick photos of my car to use as comps for a marketing campaign. He asked if I knew a nice spot and I suggested the park. I haven't been back there since 2021 so it brought back some bittersweet memories. I am glad those quarantine days are over.

I am not surprised. I thought the same of the Roma (and Roma Spider) -- it looked better in person than in photos.
