    My mom just moved into old folks home, so I had to take all my old toys and books we had kept. In there was my first and only Ferrari model at the time. I haven’t seen it in about 35 years.

    Bburago 1:24 288 GTO - actually made in Italy!

    Had the same version of this. It got lost in one of the moves. Great memories in a hunk of metal and plastic.

    well, my mom wasn't perfect. threw out most of my stuff and put my dog and cat to sleep. :D

    I joke about it, but they were both really old. cat was peeing on carpet and dog got heart worm. My dad had just died too, I still joke with her she killed off everyone. :D

    Funny, my first ever Ferrari model was the Bburago 288 GTO in 1/18 scale and still have it.

    Bought many Bburago since and sold all but a few, keeping the rare Rolls Royce Camargue version.

    My mum was very good, other then insisting I throw out my tired old BMX Mongoose Supergoose, she keep everything untouched in my old bedroom.

    Still have my original 1980 BMX to this day and for my 50th birthday had it sympathetically restored by an expert and is now one of my most prized possessions.

    Moral - when it comes to memorabilia don't listen to your mum.
