SQ7 + Cayenne + Urus you really love that platform! ;D "I'll take one of every Volkswagen Group PL72 platform you have, sir."

    I do too...

    True.
If the Bentayga was a sportier drive I’d try that also.

I haven't tried a Cullinan yet, but to date the W12 in Comfort suspension setting is the best luxury ride I've driven. Just connected and tactile enough, but eats up the miles and LV to LA or SLC are easy. You're right that the sports setting is kind of a compromise, 75% as plush but not exactly "sporty" although the 600lbs of torque still gets it moving.

We have an older Q7 that needs to be traded in for a new 7-passenger. Thinking about the SQ7… seems you’d recommend it, eh? Any idea how it compares to BMW X7?

That’s one of the “Frozen” colors, eh? How do you like it so far in real life?

There is a new Q7 coming, might be 9mo + away, fwiw. I went used to save.
Also looked at X7 which I still really like. At the time prices were much higher for less features in the X7, and I was already very familiar with the Audi/Porsche/Urus family platform and a big fan. I wouldn’t get a non SQ7 however over a X.

I really enjoy the SQ and what it offers for the $. Often is said, baby Urus, and that is accurate. Better would be the RSQ8, but lacking 3rd row.

I am trying to reach ScottS. In 10/23 you posted that you had photos of an 812 GTS NYC Atelier Grigio Competizione/ Grigio Coburn paint with Rosso Mason leather. I purchased my 812 GTS in 11/23 with these specs. I wonder if your photos are of my car. This is my 1st post on Ferrari Chat and am unfamiliar with the forum. Please reach out to a retired surgeon!

I like it a lot. It was the entire reason I selected this car versus the other (and frankly cheaper) M8s I was looking at. Not sure how maintenance will go, but it is beautiful.

Well, this didn't last long. I ended up with the M8 because it was beautiful and fit my then required checkboxes of an auto and 4 doors for the kids. I never got to the point of loving it and it was me driving myself 95% of the time. After 5 months where 1) my wife never drove it once [the auto requirement], and 2) my kid only going in it a few times [4 door requirement], I was able to convince the lady to let me get what I really want. Ended up breaking the lease on the M8 and searching for what I should've gotten originally, a manual 911. Finally found it, and I'll be honest, I really love the thing. I look forward to driving it every single time. And I know it's heresy to say it here, but I do look forward to it more than my F430.

Is your 430 a manual as well? If so, I'd be interested in learning more about your comparison about the driving experience between the two cars.

well, my 2017 AMG GLS 63 is too old, too many miles 95k, but it is too good! It has been perfect, still great condition, fast as hell, 3-rows of seats or 2-row and plenty of back room. Fast as hell 570 hp/560 torque with the big soft tire and weight it hooks up. Complete "mini van" sleeper, I love blowing away vettes, mustangs, camaros. I drive the new Mercedes when I go in for service and just don't like them. Less sporty, not as nice, don't like the looks as much, and 6-digit prices that will depreciate like a rock.

Yes it is (converted). I've only had the 911 for a few weeks. But they are very different cars. The 911 is just so easy. Get in, everything works, shifting is super easy as well with a very light clutch. Great sound system (this car had Burmeister), handles well. Exhaust sounds is okay, except the auto rev match when downshifting sounds amazing. Very little turbo lag honestly, torque everywhere, but doesn't feel as fast as the F430 even though it is only short about 20 hp and has more torque. It feels lighter than the F430 even though it isn't.

F430 is an event every time. I had to sort out a bunch of things after I bought it so I'm always nervous something may not work. Much more of an experience, the sound is utterly beautiful as you drive it, shifting is more deliberate which I actually like. Much heavier clutch (I actually stalled twice the first time I drove it after getting the 911 :D ). Sound system sucks but that is a given. Handling on par but I'm more nervous to push this one than the 911. The NA engine is amazing and I love it when I get over 4500 RPMs.

Honestly they are both great in their own ways. Perhaps it's the new car bias or just having some ease with a new manual transmission. What's surprising is the 911 I swear gets more attention than the F430 (Mirabeau blu). If you have any more specific questions just let me know, happy to try and answer them.

Was supposed to be a daily...but plagued with dct issues.
Onto its 4th transmission with only 29k miles and every time the warranty tries to find ways not to cover it.

Good to hear, I continually get positive reviews from owners of modern/recent audi products.
