If you look at the first videos of catless SF90's on the internet they were smoking like crazy. The cars that have the GPF system are super complex, the GPF function is tied into every other system in the car and they're very sensitive. They are recirculating air and oil vapor through these secondary cats (GPF) for emissions. When you don't have a GPF anymore, you are getting that smoke/vapor with the start up sequence. We can delete cold start if you'd like to eliminate the cold start logic entirely.

A blown turbo throws a cumulonimbus cloud out the tail pipe and engine bay, you'll know when it's a blown turbo. My 296 has a completely stock exhaust and in the mornings shoots visible smoke a few feet. If you are standing behind the car you will need a change of clothes. Think they are trying to warm up the exhaust as fast as possible to lower emissions, so it isn't just a high idle that does that.

There is also a small amount of oil that will settle in the turbos/intake system that burns off, if you check the pipes on the inlet and outlet of the turbo and see a pool of oil you can clean it up and see if it returns. If you are getting blowby from bad seals it will be apparent, and to prevent this it's important to let the oil temp cool down before turning the car off so the seals don't expand and contract more than necessary.

I know we talked directly, but I just saw this post and wanted to make sure people with a similar question can find an answer.

    Thank you

    Matt
