355 Mirror Control Panel Subsitute? P/N 153114

Folks, I just checked the prices on mirror control panels, P/N 153114 and they are selling for over U$300 second hand. I'm not sure if they are still available new.

Has anyone tried this Audi part? P/N (VAG) 4A0959565D. It looks identical (front and rear).

Unfortunately, they don't ship to Australia, so I can't test it.

The only difference is the illumination.
Audi variant: orange
Ferrari variant: green

Open your old one first to "practice on" - might as well do all your learning/mistakes on the one your replacing

 

Didn’t Saab use the same one the 355 did. I seem to remember seeing that in a thread a while back

No, it was definitely the switch. There was a 355 parts thread that listed non Ferrari parts that work in the 355.

I have several Ferrari ones here if anyone needs one

 

It's amazing how expensive these little yellow and black box are to produce,
But the black and gold are even worse.

Yes, the part works. A few of us have tried it. The only difference is the LED colour. The AUDI LED is red instead of green.
