Interesting. The wiring diagrams only show one plug. i.e. with two wires, grey/green and black.

Do you need to disable the immobiliser before testing?

Same thing I was having today with the Motronic ECU. And also FORGOT to disarm the alarm. With Motronic I do know the alarm got to be disabled when I was reading the OBDII error codes. Man!

I sorted out connecting to the Antitheft module (2-wire plug) and Montronic ECU (3-wire plug).

Q1: What the 3-wire (Green - Black - Brown) plug which is bundled with the white rectangular connector is for?

Q2: What is the 2-wire (Grey/Red - Grey) by the Motronic ECU is for?

Q3: What is the CAPOTE P. Packer? What is it for? I tried to connect to it by either of the unused 3-wire plug by the Antitheft module behind the driver set by either ISO1 and ISO2 plug and by the 2-wire by the Montronic EDU behind of the passenger seat and wasn't able to connect.

Power Packer is the brand name of the Spider Roof ECU

That is the diagnostic plug (at least on cars without OBD2 ports). I was under the impression that the OBD2 port wiring was plugged into that, like this:

Is that the F1 TCU diagnostic port?

I have brown/red, black and grey/green colours for that, though.

No the F1 TCU plug is a cable coming from the TCU connector. I needed to unplug it and plug it to the SD1.

Duh, it does say so in the banner. I plugged one then another ISO connector to this plug but wasn't able to initialize the ECU, with or without disarming the alarm. My soft top does work properly, lowering the windows, opening up and closing down.

Maybe something needs to be plugged in to the white rectangular plug in order to initialize the ECU? It's paired up with the soft top diagnostic connector.

Is it possible that the ECU needs all the logic which activates the roof to activate the databus? Handbrake? Doors? Key?

Not sure if #40210 is the ISO plug I took the picture of. On the ISO plug the wires from both ends are Grey/Red - Grey and on your diagram it's Grey - Brown going to OBDII and 3 wires (Black - Brown - Red) coming from Motronic.

Sounds like there are numerous variations between cars, too many to list.

Not sure I understand your wire colour description. Are you saying the motronic side wires on your cars have no stripes?

    Mine are:

    Motronic side:
    1) Grey/red
    2) Brown
    3) Grey/Black (although some have reported Grey/red)

    OBD2 port side:
    1) Grey/red
    2) N/A
    3) Grey
