History of VIN # Help

I need help to get Info in a 1981 308 GTSi Euro Car VIN # 34641 I cant find any info at all (color,options,build date,ext) all i know it came from Ferrari in Vancouver Canada, can some of you Expert,s help me.thank you in advance.

 

Not perhaps what you are looking for but in Urbans book it says GTsi 81, bronze/crema ZFFAA02A3B0034641.

Thank you it is a start but there has to be more info about this car.

 

If the serial number in post #2 above is correct as shown, that's not an Euro car.

What is there about the car which leads you to believe that it is non-USA?

 

That,s what ferrari in Vancouver told me but I think you are right do you have any othe info for this car?

 

Only that, once again, if the serial number as shown earlier above is accurate, the door plate will show you a build date of November 1980. Not particularly valuable information for you to know, I suppose, but you asked.

Beyond this, why can't you just place eyes on it?

 

Pero, can you tell me anything about the 308 GT4 I just bought? It is a euro model from 1974, s/n 09326. It is red and black currently with a black cloth interior.

Eight digit A for North America Left hand drive. Not an Euro. I'm not sure about the fourth digit A?

I guess it's used to be gold/black. Ah...turned into a red resale. What a shame. Love the gold/black combo.

 

Jonathan, If the car was ever advertised for sale in Ferrari Market Letter, the awesome folks there may be able to provide further info. The info they have may not be super-detailed, but what they had on my car was very helpful in filling-in some of the gaps in the car's history: like when it was imported, some of the work done to it, etc.
They maintain an incredible database and always seem happy to help. Good Luck.
