Hello guys, Just started the winter check and in the front compartment where I haven't removed the black protection so far. Well it was about time, see second photo Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login . There are undoubtedly many of you who have replaced the semi-circular water hoses. Can this bend be made with a standard water hose or do you really have to have a preformd Ferrrari or after markethose? Thaks in advance Chris Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm guessing this is a 328? Not sure if you'll need a Ferrari hose necessarily. You could likely find a 180 degree hose if the F part is too costly. If you're going to do them though, and haven't done your heater hose the goes to the rear of the car that probably needs to be done as well. The 308 doesn't have any curved hoses... it uses metal curves. And there's also a kind of wishbone metal attachment as well. If you have those, and again haven't changed them, you'll likely need to de-rust them and re-plate. Image Unavailable, Please Login
In the past, i have used two copper plumbing ells, four hose clamps, and then straight hose to replace unavailable U bend hoses on other cars. if you can't see it easily, nobody will know. Paint the copper pieces black and its even less noticable. Doug
