Hello everyone! I'm looking for info on a black Koenig BBi/365 Boxer widebody that was owned by Stanley Wanlass in the late 80s/early 90s. all I know is that it was black and that he bought in in 1988/1989 ish from a dealership in Batavia, New York called Unicorn International Motorcars LTD which operated from the 70s to the late 90s in WNY. they took a Mangusta and a Shelby from Wanlass on trade for the boxer they had on inventory. that dealer sold a bunch of Ferraris and Lamborghinis.
If anyone has any info on a car that Mr. Wanlass owned, Id love to dig deeper on this dealership.

I just bought a 308 that was sold to Gary Morgan in Feb of 88 at Unicorn in Batavia. I would love to find out more about the car and the previous owners. Have you had any luck finding information on Unicorn?

You bought Gary Morgan’s 308? Very cool buy, I was looking at that car as well!
I haven’t had much luck but I have talked to a few people who have sold/stored with unicorn, and they had quite the reputation! I’ll see if I can get more info, hoping to chat with a former employee soon

Its a nice original car. Been sitting since 1999 so I am going through all the systems. Let me know if you come up with any information on Unicorn. I would be very interested. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Are you around Rochester NY? Just curious if it’s staying around, I’d love to see the progress to get it back to where it was when he bought it! I will ask about Unicorn, all I know at this point is that they had a reputation for being pretty shady, and on several occasions sold cars that they didn’t have, or simply didn’t exist. I know another user here @pce01 , dealt with Unicorn at least on one occasion, he could probably share what he remembers about them too!

F50Enjoyer. I live in Webster, right around the corner from Gary's barn. I was friends with his sons, and saw the car when he bought it in 88. I will be working on the car all winter with the hopes of having it back on the road in the spring. I look forward to meeting you. RD
