    Hi team,

I posted the below on another forum but since Ferrari Chat has a lot of participants, thoughts I would share my digging with you here regarding the hydraulic system that powers our 360 Spiders and that is so prone to leaks and issues.

    What I found is:
    - Some companies offer to rebuild the hydraulic cylinders for USD 1,600 which is cheaper than buying new cylinders for USD 6,000 or more, but looking at this thread (benzworld.org/threads/s...e-with-cut-away-diagrams.1638473/post-5132771), this seems a relatively straightforward operation if you have the correct seals (but I do not know yet the dimensions.
    - The hydraulic fluid used is any quality HM-Z fluid
    - The electric motor that powers the pump is a very standard electric motor which can be replaced should it fail. The motor type is a "98260" that you can find online/. The replacement of the motor comes with the need to unsolder a small PCB which is located at the bottom of the motor, and solder it back to the replacement motor.
    - The solenoid valves on the Ferrari hydraulic unit are generic and shared among many brands. The electric connector bearing the reference "NV088" is meant to be proprietary to Ferrari according to the manufacturer. HOWEVER, should you have a solenoid valve failing, Ferrari will NOT sell you that part but only the full unit for over USD 20,000. If you go to this forum in French "https://www.forum-mercedes.com/topic-17783-fermeture-lente-de-la-capote.html ", you will see that the MERCEDES solenoid valve also carries the connector type "NV088". I have not bought one myself as my solenoid valves are working fine, but you could buy a used "A 208 800 10 48" unit for Mercedes CLK208 for USD 100-200 and get 7 solenoid valves with the correct connectors.

    Hopes that helps

Such helpful info and so odd no replies? My pump motor has just gone and I'm going to order 98260 as you mention. I can hear the relay click but no buzz from the motor, its been slower and more and more tired. How difficult is the job? Can I pull the motor without taking out all the lines?
