Been trying to compare the Grigio Silverstone Opaco and Grigio Caldo Opaco, but am having trouble finding any images of the Grigio Caldo Opaco. Does anyone have samples of these two or any information they can share about them

Has anyone ever seen a Grigio Alloy or Azzurro Metallizzato with a matte wrap over it or anything else similar? Would be curious to see what something like this would look like.

Are there any lesser known Matte finishes?

Ferrari can make many colors matte. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Other grigios to consider Eski (matte) Brunito (matte) etc. I personally think verde silverstone opaco would be amazing.

    Good luck.

I somehow have an impression that 812 GTS launch color was grigio GTS which was technically the same as grigio coburn and Ferrari just changed the name without paying due respect to the Coburns...Can someone correct me if I am wrong?

That swatters blue matte is so cool and I dislike matte paint 99% of the time.

    Hi Scott,

My car plaque says the colour is “812 Grigio Opaco”. Are you suggesting that this colour is actually Grigio Caldo Opaco, but renamed for the launch?

I believe that you are incorrect. The 1st 812 GTS to specced for display in the Park Ave Ferrari Corporate show room, was there from 12/19 to perhaps early 2021 and wore Grigio Alfieri, a Maserati color. This example has been pictured several times in Ferrari Chat. The color was not changed, however was renamed Grigio GTS. I believe that Grigio GTS then became the official launch color for the 812 GTS. Another 812 GTS was also specced specifically for display in the Ferrari NY showroom and was on display from early 2022 until 5/23, while wearing Grigio Coburn. It has also been pictured in Ferrari Chat. This color was also not changed, however was renamed Grigio Competizione, and became the launch color for the 812 Competizione.

I see, so Ferrari renamed Grigio Coburn to Grigio Competizione. How much does Ferrari charge the clientele the opportunity to name a color and how long does the name ownership last?

Ferrari apparently occasionally changes color names. I know nothing about the financial aspect of any changes.
