Bingo ! Great news is we probably get a200k discount when buying used with less than 1k miles on it I think SF90 is more elegant where this is more masculine…

 

It’s clear that the last 5 years have totally broken everyone’s brains when it comes to the value of almost every asset.

Unless there is a catastrophic freefall in the value of the dollar with somehow no other consequences (impossible) - SF90s will not be appreciating any time soon. Nor should they.

There have already been cars that have been listed and sat for a week or two for under 400k that I’ve seen, and they’re only going to down from here.

The market is rejecting the “hybdrid supercar” - and now that the US is somewhat of a free country again, this will only continue.

 

So, specs can obviously make a big difference in price but my car lost about 20 percent in 3 years, that really insn't awful compared to other cars. Yes, losing $150k always sucks but I've had it for 3 years and put 3k miles on it. I think the sf90 coupes will stay around 400-500, spiders probably 500-600 for a while, but I could be wrong...The older 21/22 and maybe even the 23's will probably drop more just cause the factory warranty is out and it cost 8-10k a year for extending it. I personally think the sf90 is a great car and its so fast but definitely not the best Ferrari.

Exactly, people are not rejecting, they really have not tried yet. Kinda brain washed like young liberals by the legacy media. It too will turnaround. Take Artura for example, exponentially better than 570S. I like both and like old school too, I would pick up a manual non hybrid for my next purchase as addition. As 992.1 Turbo S owner, it is the same with the 992 forum. Loads of haters who already have their mind made up without having any seat time as delivery has not even started yet. As owner, I know the shortcoming of the 992.1 Turbo S. The 992.2 will simply have all the previous flaw fixed, and throttle responds will be nuts, instant torque, even the 992.2 GTS is insanely good. People may say a car is fast enough, once tried a faster more responsive car, you get used to the speed, what used to feel fast usually feels slow.

Once tried hybrid, one will understand. My wife just picked up a really low mileage 22 Urus (non hybrid) in amazing color combo and fully loaded. Unfortunately not SE. The SE is Hybrid near 800hp monster, around $330k to $350k, it was over her budget. Dramatically better responds, faster (more so than the numbers suggests) overall much better car. After spending a day with it, I like it a lot, we will trade it in for hybrid version in a year or so. My Lambo sales rep said most people come in disliking hybrid, he would just take them out for a test drive without telling them it is hybrid. People are shocked after each test drive including non hybrid current or ex Urus owners.

Urus SE will introduce a lot of first time hybrid owners, it be nearly impossible for someone who like previous versions of Urus to not like it. Especially when hybrid Urus sound just as good as non hybrid version. For people genuinely prefer old school, there are plenty of choices, I don't see what is stopping them from picking it up the car they like and add to their collection. There are a lot of great cars available, from GT3 manual, 812, Z06, 458, F8, GTC4 Lusso, 550/575, NSX, M3/M5s, Huracans, and many many more.

 

One cannot simply dismiss the questions about reliablity of hybrids - I think that's what makes people reluctant to buy them.
For first owners, planning to keep the cars only for a few years, it's not an issue, except that depreciation (due to the lack of second hand demand) increases the cost of ownership; for hypercars, planned use is typically limited so that reliability is less a concern.
For second-hand buyers and/or people keeping their cars longer, a hybrid supercar is considered more cautiously - even though the performance is impressive.

I am on my 4th hybrid super car since 2017, zero issue so far. SF90 is due for annual in 11 days.

After 7th year, once hybrid component warranty is up, it would be a concern at that point. In my case, unknown if I keep that long, most likely picked up a few other cars before then while keeping SF90 unless something better value/performance come from Lambo/Ferrari/Mclaren. What I do to mentally prepare is set $100k aside for hybrid components assuming battery cost doesn't drop.

In Mclaren P1's case, Mclaren released updated version of battery, less than half of originally weight (110lbs vs original 234lbs), P1/918/Laferrari will run forever. My Lambo/Mclaren sales rep showed me a P1 with battery upgrade in process in person, that was in for 10 year service, everything still works fine, but client choosed to go with upgrade, it is over $156k+ job, includes addifonal 6 years of warranty for the battery, so much stuff had to come off, it is a beauty underneath as well.

Volume drive down cost, hopefully with far higher production numbers, SF90, 296, Urus SE, Artura, Temeraro, etc will eventually have upgraded lighter battery at reasonable price. Take tires for example. My wife's Urus has 23 inch wheel option, only 2 tire choices, $4800, while my Model X Plaid has 22 inch wheels, tires range from $1200 to $2500, I run $1260 for a set of 4 Continental ExtremeContact all season tires, last insanely long, handles great, no problem with traction what so ever even at 1000hp. F8/488 tires are similar size as Porsche, so they are really cheap as well while Aventador SV had very limited tire choices, the cost is over 50% more.

the ferrari hypercars are limited edition collector cars and their reliability or even really what they are in terms of technology aren't related to their desiribility

 

In the market to purchase SF90. After reading this thread, it seems like the value is going in the right direction.

 

They’re vaporizing from lots at a quick pace for once. Nice to see.

 

An update from this post back in June. There are now 23 coupes priced at $450k or below. (I didn't meticulously scrounge every single car-selling platform so I am sure there are more). I think next year $400k will be the next $450k. Huracans, meanwhile, are holding their values very well.

 

Makes sense to me. Bunch of silent but fast cars at the $350+ range like 911 and SF. People move on to visceral experiences. I went SVJ Roadster instead of Mc or SF etc.

 

I am not getting too much in the details anymore, but from quick glances every now and then, I feel that good spec lower mileage stradales have been holding their values. The spiders on the other hand have lost quite a bit lately.

 

That is why I am so holding on my STO

Great buy perfect for all the haters on this thread that simply want an SF90 but instead have taken the time to bash it thru 100s if not 1000s of posts.
SF90 and 296 are some of the best from ferrari. I have owned or driven several models old and new.

It amazes me every time I read all the nonsense on this thread. Most of those that comment don’t own or will never be able to own one! Such a joke.

If you like it buy it and enjoy it.

 

I agree. SF90 is one of the best cars that I have driven. The performance and handling are on another level.

 

Also agree. I have a 296 and have ownwd all in the v8 range back to the 458 and I LOVE the 296. I think time will help when the hybrid system doesn’t fall apart at year 5 etc. they are fantastic cars. Neighbor had the sf90 and is as passionate about his as I am of mine

 

Very important to note I have a 488 Pista Spider and a 812 Comp. Along with another 11 cars but when I go to the SF90 it’s just an all around driver, fast and sexy! Loved when I had the stradale and love my spider even more.

 

The only people who hate them are the ones who don’t own them as simply put as this, I have a bunch of cars and the SF90 is right at the top, I literally can not wait for my SF90XX
