Saw the Amalfi in the flesh yesterday at the dealer. Have quite a few reservations when comparing it to my Porto.
The back seat is even less useable than in the Porto, which in itself is not exactly great. At least I can put the top down to allow someone to clamber into the back. The Amalfi has really zero legroom, even though the car is actually longer than the Porto.
The boot is also less useable than in the Porto. No space on the sides for stuff. Don't forget, this is a GT and I use my Porto as my DD to the supermarket. Need some boot space
The lip in the front looks very vulnerable when parking. It is likely to "lick" the usual parking barriers. Not sure whether the parking aids will pick up the usual low barriers. Expensive repairs if you choose the carbon lip.
To my surprise, the front seat did not move forward when folded down. How do I get a shopping bag onto the backseat. Maybe this is something that can be changed in the settings
Did like the cockpit layout and the real knobs and buttons.
    Will do a testdrive January/February.

Why ? Can you not agree it’s so bland like a BYD with no Ferrari character in the exterior ?

Preference includes all aspects, not just exterior. I cannot agree that it is extraordinarily bland like a BYD because …. What is a BYD? In terms of exterior only, I find the Portofino is a much more beautiful car in comparison to the Roma and Amalfi - even though both the newer cars are probably a big improvement overall.

As I said, I know it is a minority opinion in this thread. Oh, full disclosure: I also like the 12C, 296 and 849TR. And am not the least bit offended at the Purosangue. :)

Just was at the Factory and saw Amalfi's on the production line... and some of the finished cars. They do look really good... a tad lower and wider than the Roma... a classic for sure.

Saw the Amalfi roadshow car last night. Thoughts:
    • Love this new verde, admittedly similar to the menthe I just got on my GTS
    • Loses some of the fender curves I liked about the Roma, to its deficit
    • The beltline crease going back of the door looks oddly low compared to the nose and roofline, although it does create a sense that the car is crouching
    • The nose is a little bland but clearly related to the Purosangue line of cars
    • Front fenders blobby on the sides, not as curved and sporty as Roma appears, even if they're similar proportions
    • Interior is much improved I love the new wheel
    • Waterfall center tunnel is now a flat, 90º level slab that has angular sides and goes right under the dash. Bold move, will be more functional.
    • There's a tiny flip to the tail I never noticed in photos, nice touch but should have been even more of a ducktail spoiler
    • The thing that looks most off on the nose is that the line that goes up over the headlights... reminds of an armor helmet that blocks part of the eyes - when looking at it head-on, I wanted to see more headlight space

Where are you? Haven’t seen anything about roadshows in the U.S.

    Nice!
Did they have any details like when a driving demo car would be available or when actual allocations would be provided?
And did the drinks have Cavallino logos like the ones in Monaco had?

ah I didn’t ask (while I wanted to see it, I am not ordering… I’m already neck deep in the 296 line having just ordered my 3rd, Speciale coupe). The catering was a local company with a small bar, but they did have a gelato bar that was excellent.

I thought they wouldn't give you a Speciale allocation?
The belt line crease you mentioned I first saw on the 1984 Testarossa. How did the Amalfi get the swell hips and not the 849?
Maybe the same bunch that used the 'DAYTONA' name early for the SP3... :D

Someone from the first round of offers made in April must not have followed through with their deposit, because they called and said I was up if I wanted it and was ready to put down the deposit.

Since I’ve been trying to build up my profile to limited cars I took it, even though I’m still in a weird spot having just received my GTS this month and I really wanted the convertible. After some consideration, I decided to continue to play The Game and try and keep moving up.

oh and I agree Daytona should have been saved for the 12C that made no sense to me. And they should have reused 512 M or something referencing that 1970s series rather than Testarossa for the 849 since it looks like the 512 race car.

    J.A,
I saw the Amalfi at the Launch event in our country in September. The interior is nicer than the Roma, and physical buttons are nicer.
But I really like the exterior of the Roma and wasn’t impressed by the Amalfi exterior. The rear is nice, but not sure it’s nicer than the Roma.
The Roma is so beautifully sculpted and has muscular curves and elegance at the same time.

Specially seeing the front of the Amalfi, I stood there, imagining that no one would pull in, when they saw it in the rear mirror, as it looks little Ferrari like, and much more like a normal EV. I think most people will mistake it for an EV when they see it in the rear mirror.
I also missed the Cavalinho in the front hardly. This is a big sin imo that they have removed it.

But I’m going to test drive it in the new year. Let’s see if I change my mind.

I liked driving the Roma, my only critique was that it felt a bit muted. Let’s see how the Amalfi is in that regard.
