Due to a change in travel plans my 612 sat unplugged in a parking garage for 9 days, 20 hrs.

Initialized and started up without hesitation. After a quick 10 minute run around the block the battery was 12.8 V.

She was parked after a 250km drive so the battery would have started with a full charge ( caveat- both battery and alternator are a few months old so the charging system is working optimally).

An Autel Ap200 was in the OBD port for the entire time as well.

I was perhaps more worried than I should have been.

Battery cutoff switch on or off?

Were the doors locked with the key fob? I would assume yes. I have always heard that the immobilizer is responsible for the parasitic current draw on 612/599, which leads to battery drain. I have not tested this myself, but I rarely lock my doors when parked...because I am paranoid about the battery!

    Locked.

I have heard the same about the immobilizer.

Did not realize the 612 bled down the battery so quickly. My 575M can go 3-4 weeks with no problem and has not been on a charger for 15 years except while in for pro service.

The Maserati GranTurismo has the same immobilizer and the same problem of rapid drain.

I have never had one (612 or GT) last two weeks while locked. Unlocked you might get a month.
