I should have started a separate thread on this a while ago. Better late than never.
Today I finished up the technical drawings for the subwoofer mounting bracket. This data is now in the hands of my CAD expert. He has special software for calculating sheet metal bend lines, etc. Once this is complete, the first prototype brackets will be manufactured. Meanwhile, I have imported and scaled my drawings for the actual subwoofer enclosure. I should have this drawn up and on the way to my wood cutting guy by the end of this weekend. I should have all the pieces needed to construct the first prototype subwoofer enclosure by the end of next week.

The initial design of the subwoofer enclosure is complete and is now in the hands of my wood cutting guy. He has a $120K computer-controlled wood cutting machine and has been cutting my wood pieces for a decade. He will cut 3 test pieces so I can test fit them here locally into a 296. The enclosure is basically the same size as my F8 Tributo box, which is a good thing. It has more than enough internal airspace yet still allows for 100% seat clearance.

My CAD guy was very quick in turning around my rudimentary drawing for a Bonafide subwoofer mounting bracket print for the sheet metal shop. Unfortunately, I did not clearly communicate the proper radius of one of the bends. I sent him a revised drawing tonight, clearly iterating what it is that I need, and hopefully by this time tomorrow the new print will already be at the sheet metal shop for some subwoofer mounting bracket prototypes.

The revised print sent this morning is perfect. Two prototype brackets are already on order. My CNC wood cutting guy has stated that he'll be able to cut my test pieces for the subwoofer tomorrow.
