If I was a decade or so younger, I would seriously look at buying another 575 at sub $100K. Unless it had been serviced by a well known shop, I would expect to spend another $25k+ on service. Still well worth the cost.

 

Lots of parts you do not really need in the Ebay ad, like the transmission, torque tube, etc. 575M gearbox is a big upgrade from the 550, so not something you want to swap. Definitely worth the price and then sell the other pieces.

Affirmative, 575s are a bargain. Most are worth less than a good 308, 348, or F355. A lot more car, though.

 

Manual 360s go for more too. I think a big reason why they remain undervalued is that the general car enthusiast public is under the impression that the F1 cripples the car, and that its suspension sucks too. Those early reviews which panned the car have had an enduring legacy, and I know this to be true because I generally didn’t think highly of the 575 a few years ago in large part to “what I heard”.

 

None of my friends and neighbours into cars know anything about the 575 and what the F1 box is. They just hear 'V12 Ferrari' and assume huge maintenance costs and mechanical fragility. They ask me how the car is doing, expecting a tale of woe every time.
