Anyone know of a source for a reproduction of these metal plates in North America? There is an eBay seller in India. I need one for a Dino I’m working on which is a bit different than the one on my 308, posted in the Dino section but no response so thought I’d try here! Thanks - Jeff

Was this metal plates originally black or is it supposed transition from black to copper like this. I can try to see with our team if this is something we can manufacture.

Consulted this with AI. If you could get me some more photos and size, we could try replicate it.

Notice the speckled white pattern across the top half? That’s likely oxidation and clear-coat breakdown. Over time, exposure to moisture, engine heat, and even cleaning solvents causes:
    • The black paint to fade to brown or transparent, revealing the bare metal (hence “clear background” look).
    • The unprotected etched areas to darken from oxidation (hence “black text” look).
So what you’re seeing is the same plate, but two different degradation stages across its surface.

    Lighting & Reflection
These plates are very reflective when polished. The bottom part likely caught more light in the photo, which amplifies the difference — making the blackened, corroded upper section look “clear” by comparison.
