    Glutton for punishment.

I just got my FF back today from having its DCT have a complete rebuild. Which was sent off to be done just after having the PTU sent out for rebuild. Basically car has been out of action for past 5 months.

After market Alpine head unit is working just fine, CarPlay sinked just fine, etc. But, no sound at all. Amp fuse is fine. Tried hard restart on Alpine unit. Still no sound. Car battery was unhooked while at this garage for about 4 weeks for this DCT repair. Then put on my AGM tender waiting for ride back home.

Still has OEM amp, car is 2014. My guess is amp is shot. Going to take it back to local stereo shop that put Alpine unit in.

Anyone have amp fail on them? Can after market one fit where OEM is?

Good morning Scout123! We have seen this before on multiple vehicles and we have had success by performing a hard reset on the battery. This procedure is performed by disconnecting the positive and negative cables and essentially holding both negative and positive leads together for roughly 5 minutes. once completed, reinstall the positive and negative battery cables back onto the battery and turning back on the radio. 9/10 times this will reboot the amplifier. Let us know if this works!

Hope the hard reset works. You’ve had a rough ride lately and things really need to turn around so you can get out and enjoy the car.

Thanks, but it did not. Also tried unplugging the amp as well. Will take to my stereo shop and have them test amp and replace if need be.
