shhhh, just let everyone think you did all that vertical over a short distance. That explains your avg speed too
ha, I hear ya. I still ride a steel classic Giubilato from 1987. Think it weighs twice my daughters new Trek.
Sorry to bump and old thread - I got the redesigned Cervélo Áspero-5 a couple of months ago after doing 4k miles on my 2023 Á5. Didn't love it for gravel on the slicks it came with, but I got a set of Zipp 303 XPLR SWs with Schwalbe G-One RS tires and it completely transformed the bike. Insanely quick and capable all-terrain ride now! Also love this paint color - it's like a transparent clear with gold flake in it. You can see the carbon layup in the sun. Great looking bikes! There is nothing like a carbon bike for speed and handling. Colnago/Ferrari C35,,, Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have a simple GT Tequesta I put road tires on. (I thought I needed a 'mountain bike' for a stronger frame to haul my fat ass) I had the brakes and shifters replaced, got it in tip-top shape, and have put about 5 miles on it since....
