Did the factory tour in January. Our guide constantly spoke about environmental issues and just way to woke in general on behalf of the company

Doubt it. When they were in F1 15-20 years ago they reportedly outspent EVERY other team, and got nothing to show for it. In today's world economy, no, I doubt it.

These guys have nothing to complain about. People dream of landing an F1 seat - ANY F1 seat, and they are stuck in a backmarker car. SHOW someone something, anything, at any track, they WILL see you, and maybe give you a shot on a better team after you have 'paid your dues'. And if you NEVER get any faster, then you suck at car development, setup or... driving. I don't mean cutting 5 seconds off your prior lap times, but a consistent one second - anything noticeable vis-a-vis over the other cars/teams/drivers. TONS of greats started that way, Niki Lauda, James Hunt, Nigel Mansell, Senna, Vettel, Michael, even Max started with Toro Rosso.... Aside from Hamilton, nobody has stepped directly into a #1 team since, who, Damon? Jacques? Nico?
He drives a winning car with a winning team. Why would he self-sabotage his own career only to find himself dressed in red surrounded by buffoons in a circus conducted by that walking disaster named Elkann?
My original post has been discredited, so as others have asked, why is it still open? At this point in time, I don't think even Williams or Alpine or Haas would want Hamilton, even for free. One of his WDCs was by a lucky call, and he lost to Max but a lucky call. His comment that if he couldn't drive in F1, he'd be a movie producer, seems about to come true, because Hollywood is the only place that worships him any more. And after he fails there, he can always open a restaurant, just like the Skipper on Gilligan's Island.
Re: Max in the Red Bull and the pointy front end - I don't remember where I heard it now, but I listened to an F1 podcast a year or two ago that basically explained that, with the ground effect cars, rotation is paramount, and the pointier the front end, the "faster" the car will be on paper. This was all discussed in the context of Perez's struggles, as well as Albon and Gasly previously. The issue is, balancing the car on the front end means the car can become very unstable on turn-in and initial rotation and lead to driver's feeling insecure. This was apparently a big part of the reason Perez struggled in the Red Bull alongside Max, while max won almost every race in 2023. Max is seemingly the only driver that can cope with that car setup, and even he has said in 2024 and 2025 that he doesn't really love it, but he knows it's fastest and he's learned to live with it. If he didn't have superhuman car feel, he'd be just as bad as any of his teammates have been.
