Well, after disassembling my window regulators multiple times, attempting to correct the forward "lean" which leads to lots of water intrusion, I finally sprung for 2 used regulators at about $250 each. After installation there was a huge improvement on the drivers side and a 100% improvement on the passenger side.

I saw the doner car for the passenger side and although it had 95K miles on clock, it seemed to seal perfect in the pics. Once installed, it proved perfect.

...until this weekend. Without provocation, it now leans forward again, after about 3 months of use.

I know it's not an adjustment issue. The lean starts at the top of the closing cycle - in other words, it goes up straight, then at the last minute, it leans forward. I tried everything, including adjusting the tracks and cleaning, sanding and re-greasing them in hopes eliminating any drag.

The problem lies somewhere in the connecting bushings in the scissor assembly. They get sudden play at some point, then wobble forward at the top of the cycle.

Has anyone been successful in fixing this? The problem has no bearing on age or mileage - I just say a very low mileage 380 on BaT that had a 1/2 inch gap at the seal! While others with 90K miles are just fine.
