the stock wheels are also forged, just silver colour. Options just change the finish (except ofc carbon rim)

I keep debating Multimatic vs FAL/bumpy road mode. I wish there were some more concrete comparisons of the driving experience between the two, which somehow doesn't exist despite every reviewer having driven both.

In the US it is still unclear whether optioning the lift takes away the multimatic passive dampers. From what i heard, dealers are requesting clarification from Ferrari NA. If anyone else has concrete info, please share.

It's spelled out pretty clearly in the personalization guide (option code ELEV):

"The lift system introduces the Magneride which, compared to the standard Multimatic, allows to raise the vehicle's front ground clearance by a maximum of 40 mm, thus allowing it to more easily handle bumps and ramps. The system deactivates automatically at speeds in excess of 35 Km/h."

It's a speciale. I already have an AF with no lift. Not an issue. To think I would then order a Speciale with magneride is just not happening. That would be a backward step. The AF would already be quicker around a track then a magneride Speciale.

Thanks this is helpful. I do think believe all the wheels are the same, the two tone version you selected are just diamond cut finish.

For the front axle lift, since you didn't option it, does your car come with the multimatic suspension? Or can you have either option at no extra cost if the front axle lift isn't added?

No it's is no lift and multimatic or magneride with lift. Of course people will make their own choice based on their own situation. Mine is clear and will be tracked.

thanks for clarifying. So do you know how much the lift/Magnaride option costs?

I think this is an interesting angle. I'm starting to wonder why you would neuter the performance of a speciale with the lift and softer suspension. Th 488 pista or 458 speciale didn't have this fundamental suspension choice correct?

It seems like this is a major decision that you could get wrong and really regret.

If people want lift they should get mutltimatics, and then novitec lift fitted later imo.

are you in US? This question is specific to US. I understand in EU what you stated is correct. If the US personalization guide states that, please share the excerpt. ty.

I believe the official line from Ferrari is that there is no difference in lap time performance between the two setups. And the gap between multimatic and fixed rates in feel is much much more narrower now than before (hence why journalists aren’t really talking about it too much) … I think I heard on Evo podcast that the official sf90Xx laptime for Fiorano was even done on the multimatic?

Is there a separate US personalization guide? The copy of the doc I have seems global and just notes the applicable regions when an option is region-specific or region-restricted. (I am in the US)

Oh this is a good idea.

If I think if I will daily the Speciale, I will need the lift or will drag the nose at 2-3 spots to which I regularly drive. The question I will have to answer is how much will I actually use the Speciale? Do I keep DD the GTS instead of trading it in and keep the Speciale for “Special” driving occasions?

(to be fair, I have three DD’s that I rotate through)…

I'd really like bumpy road mode, as I find the AF to be excellent, but choppy on my local roads. I'm assuming that is only available with the magnaride.

thanks for the clarification. i will go back and ask. The dealer should ahve a personalization guide. but in my recent discussion there were two dealers taht claimed they do not know and were requesting clarification from Ferrari NA.

    Not in US
In the hands of a test driver / professional it may make a measurable difference. For the vast majority get the lifter and protect the carbon . Remember the Speciale has a longer carbon area
