    Hello,

while doing some cosmetical work on my 1997 GTB (German delivery) with 12k km clocked I planned to remove the black paint on the following parts at the rear end/ engine bay

    # inner wishbone bolts
    # wish bone forks
    # bolts and nuts connecting of the transversal/cross connecting members of the engine frame
    # lead connection

So far I assumed that somebody applied it during service inspection.

But my recent observation revealed redish paint under the black coating at the hardware of the cross members and lead cable same like at the engine frame/cage. Beneath the coating of the forks and bolts at the wish bones there is shiny zinc plating.

Does anybody know, if the black paint is original and /or has been special order depending on delivery country?

    Many thanks in advance!
