buy OEM or bosch OEM, usually replaced when you got a problem with ignition or combustion, or look up in the ferrari service book

well I experienced on my Porsche Turbo that performance wanes over time by car is 11 years old and its not like a metal piston or valve that absorbs heat much more effectively

    Richard,

    Your car is an F430?

Your can find them in eBay for $80.00 Bosch OEM from a seller from Latvia.

There are 2 part numbers due to cable lengths.

    188504 for cylinders 1, 2, 7, 8
    186914 for cylinders 3, 4, 5, 6

I have a post here on ignition coils for F430 with equivalent Bosch part numbers. Kindly do a search.

I just purchased one in eBay from a seller from UK for $75.00.

I believe dealer is asking $425.00 each.

Pre 2007 is one part, post 2007 is another (push in type), and Scuderia/16M is another (push in, ion sensing).

They don't really warrant replacement as a precaution - they are reliable.

Hey mwstewart, is there any benefit in using the Scuderia ones on a Standard F430? the 2007 and earlier versions do not have a cable attached.

No, there isn't a benefit. The performance of the coil is identical.
