2014 California Fuel/Gas Cap Does Not Open

    - Firstly, the car did not come with the buttons (and the frame). Any ideas where to get the buttons + the frame?
    - Pressing the luggage/trunk "button" works, but the fuel/gas "button" does not
    - When pressed, no sound from near the gas cap (i.e. I don't think it activated the actuator)

    This is crazy you asked this question today. Different switch, same exact problem and I believe those buttons are the same on the board. My mode selector has 2 inop switches, and I'm currently working to source the buttons. The switch itself is like $700, the buttons that need replacing are about $.10 each.
    The buttons that work operate properly when checked with a multimeter, the ones that don't still stay in the megaohm range even when activated.

    I refuse to pay $1k to repair a 10cnt part. You'll probably have to source a second hand switch frame. The board you see screws to the back of it. To test yours, you can use a jump wire to verify it's the button thats faulty on the board.

    When you say "buttons" do you mean the small electronic button itself? (the small white thing)
    When you say switch is $700, switch meaning the whole circuit board? or the exterior switch frame? or the electronic switch on the circuit board?

    Going to try to find my multimeter. Do you have clear step by step guide on how to test it? Thanks!

    The buttons have small silicone "hats" on top, you can peel them off to see the actual part.
    Use a multimeter on the legs while pushing the exposed bare button. The working button should go to 0ohm resistance when pressed. The non-functioning in my case still stays in the megaohm range.

    If you're not comfortable with SMD stuff, I would either take it to an electronics repair shop and ask them to replace the two switches (they are generic parts), or just bite the bullet and buy a whole unit.
    Ferrari will only sell the whole unit with switches, circuit board, frame, the lot.
