I'm looking for a course for my SO. Not quite a track day thing, but I guess it could be at a road course. I track the 458 a couple times a year, I'm also a semi pro licensed NHRA ( Top dragster) and I do some oval track. Unfortunately I'm not a good teacher when it comes to her. I want to find a course where she can learn to drive and use all of the car if something requires it. Almost like the old DOD escape and evade course. We are on the East coast. We have places in VA and Florida, but are able to travel. Any ideas? Thank you!

If you want a TVOC course, Summit Point's Training Facility is not too far from you in Arlington and will give a range of courses

If you're looking to have her do more "performance driving" I know our local PCA does a women's HPDC (high performance driver's clinic) every year

I think HPDE with instructor would be very relevant and helpful. Learning control, technique and proper line all translates to the street.
I’m a certified MSF level 2 instructor and track 20+ weekends a year in the SE. Feel free to PM me maybe we can figure out a weekend to pair up.

Great! I may send her out with the SL550 and a instructor for the Rolex Daytona event.

You need to hone in on options and then pick one based on goals. You can pull up the calendars of many race tracks and see who is on track different weekends and google them to see what those organizations offer. Then there are dozens of schools and clubs that offer schools from autocross, on street tactics to wheel to wheel racing.

    https://performancedrivinggroup.com/events/
https://chintrackdays.com/schedule.aspx These are HPDE cubs and most of them have a light school system to get 1st timers on track and keep them safe.

The 2 biggest amateur racing orgs in the country SCCA and NASA have their own schools too but not as in depth a curriculum like skippy who is just a school that's all they do.

https://www.skipbarber.com/courses/driving-academy-2/ skippy is a real school just a shell of it's former self but still relevant. They have a real lower level on track more like street survival skills kind of course taught by real teachers. skippy is considered very high level or on the 1st tier of driving schools and I think they have a school at VIR. skippy sounds like what you want.
