    Being from Swiss extraction (I presume), you cannot ignore that MSC stands for Mediterranean Shipping Company, the world's largest container shipping enterprise based in Geneva.
    For me, the irony, is that Switzerland, a landlocked country, owns one of the biggest merchant fleet.

    My Swiss years were over 30 years ago, so I'm not so much au courant anymore. And no I don't know the shipping company. My last reference point would have been Hapag Loyd. :)

    And yes, it's funny how many ships are out there under a Swiss flag. Total scam.

    Much of the 'shipping' industry is a scam - the flags are just a symptom lol.

    Only 17 of their ships sail under Swiss flags (source CIA World Factbook) and the MSC fleet is approaching 900 vessels, but the company HQ is in Geneva.

    Like the industry, merchant fleets have been forced to migrate to more favourable countries to escape punitive legislation. Western countries have brought that upon themselves.
